Causes
Chen is a philanthropist who is deeply concerned and cares about the state of the world, for which she has great compassion. She has organised and given concerts for different local and regional charities across England and Europe for more than 7 years. She has raised funds for many good causes, including a number of concerts for Christian Solidarity Worldwide (an organisation working for religious freedom and human rights, in the pursuit of justice), disabled children in Bosnia, the earthquake in the south of China, HIV prevention, orphans and widows in Uganda, Compassion UK, Handicapped in Israel, A Rocha for caring our environment and CARE (a charity seeks to uphold human dignity and support the most vulnerable people in society), Child and Family Aid Pro Deo in Romania.
She has organised and performed with other musicians in a series of concerts which has raised funds and brought awareness to the global issue of human trafficking, including Stop The Traffik, A21, The Beginning of Life (a Moldovan-based charity working with trafficked people), a charity of Rahab, Mayak (a Russian-based charity working with trafficked women). She also has organised and given concerts for local charities such as Newhope for homeless people, Northwood Live at Home for elderly people, annual Northwood community concert for refugees in the Middles East through a charity of Tearfund, Chinese Association Cancer Care, and participated in singing in a fund-raising concert for HART (Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust). She also performed for The Mayor of Hillingdon’s Charity Gala Evening and charity concert for Chinese Welfare Trust.
Chen actively supports the following organisations: Listening Ears, Northwood Live at Home, and CACACA.
